Nearly half of undocumented immigrants live with United States Citizen family members. Many of California’s U.S. citizen children have at least one undocumented parent. But the United States’ policy towards undocumented immigrants is one of separation and not unification. As a result, many of our nation’s children live through the deportation of a close family member, often a parent.
SJC’s work is aimed towards promoting family unity. We defend families from being separated by borders and other legal barriers.
