Justice AmeriCorps Attorney
George MacDonald is a justice AmeriCorps fellow and member of the California State Bar. As a jAC fellow, George is one of 46 legal professionals working to represent immigrant children who arrived to the U.S. without a parent or guardian. By directly representing unaccompanied minors, George is part of a larger effort to provide all children in removal proceedings with an attorney. George graduated cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, and received a public interest certificate for his work in immigration law. Additionally, George volunteered with a local nonprofit organization to provide legal services to undocumented immigrants in Portland. Before law school, George taught high school in Lower Lake, California, and he continues to enjoy working with youth. George speaks Spanish.
