Alejandra M. Velasco is an undergraduate student at the UC Berkeley. She currently majors in Legal Studies with a potential double major in Social Welfare. Alejandra’s passion for social justice originated from her family members endeavors. Her family was able to succeed in the low-income community through the resources and services provided to them. Thus, Alejandra strives to be an asset to other members of her community. She is a current volunteer at Centro Legal de la Raza. At Centro Legal, she works with attorneys to offer direct legal services to undocumented individuals, people of color, non-English speakers, victims of wage theft, discrimination, retaliation, etc. Her passion for social justice and experience at Centro Legal has made an impact on her decision to pursue law school.
