Angelo Mathay is a Program Officer at the Robin Hood Foundation in New York City, where he manages several grants in the immigration and food security portfolios. Prior to joining Robin Hood, Angelo was a Senior Associate at The Pew Charitable Trusts, Immigration and the State project, where he researched, conducted outreach, and developed strategy related to the intersection of federal, state, and local immigration laws and policies and the potential impact on all levels of government. Angelo has also worked at the Migration Policy Institute’s National Center on Immigrant Integration Policy, where he worked on adult education, workforce training, and postsecondary education issues and coauthored two reports related to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Angelo began his post-law school career at the National Immigration Law Center, where he helped implement the DACA program in two states.
He is currently a member of THEDREAM.US’s National Planning Council.
Angelo earned his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law (Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy Specialization)
