Kayla Patterson

Post-Law Graduate

Kayla Patterson graduated from Tulane University Law School in May of 2017 with experience in many public interest fields. She is committed to providing access to justice for underrepresented communities. Prior to law school, Kayla held fellowships at AIDS United and the San Francisco Democratic Party, as well as interned at the San Francisco Office of the District Attorney. In law school, she continued her commitment to public service and immigration justice through internships at the National Law Enforcement Center on Animal Abuse, SJC, and Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans Immigration Unit. As an extern at Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans Immigration Unit, Kayla continued her work in immigration defense, specifically focusing on the representation of unaccompanied minors. Kayla is a recipient of the Louisiana State Bar Associations 2017 Law Student Pro Bono Award, which is presented to a law student who has demonstrated a dedication to providing legal services to the poor. She holds a BA in History from the University of Oklahoma with a focus in War, Revolution, and Diplomacy
