Martha was born in San Francisco and grew up in San Francisco’s Mission District. Growing up in the San Francisco’s Mission District kept her close to her roots and enabled her to speak Spanish as her primary language. Martha started working for SJC in May 2017 as a file clerk and now as a paralegal. She immediately became interested in working for SJC because her parents are Salvadoran immigrants and she understands the adversities that the immigrant communities face in this country.
Her goal is to continue helping the immigrant community and to expose her children to the challenges that immigrant communities face. This will increase theri awareness and potentially inspire them by becoming future community leaders.
