Jasmina Viteskic

Jasmina Viteskic is a human rights professional with extensive international experience in researching, developing and implementing policies to comply with the international human rights framework. Within the transitional justice context, Jasmina has worked to strengthen the responsiveness of public sector services and institutions to the needs of the underrepresented populations.

While abroad, she has worked for the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

Jasmina holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where she conducted research for the UC Berkeley War Crimes Studies Center and volunteered as a refugee resettlement associate at the International Rescue Committee (IRC). She also holds a Master's degree from the University of Sarajevo focusing on the protection of child victims during criminal proceedings.

As a former refugee growing up in the Bay Area, Jasmina is wholeheartedly committed to SJC's mission to protect and advance the rights of refugees and immigrants in her community.
