ariana mendez

Paralegal

Ariana was born and raised in Pomona, California. She is a Mexican-American, first-generation college graduate and received a Political Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2019.

Ariana has always been passionate about social justice issues and making a difference in the world. At a young age, she realized the vast political and social-economic barriers that have historically targeted marginalized communities. She hopes to knock down these barriers with her community and anyone passionate about serving those in need.

She believes life is about constantly growing and learning to become a better version of yourself. Ariana feels honored to be working at SJC and strongly believes in SJC's mission. She is thankful for the opportunity to be part of an organization that truly cares for people and puts it into action. In her free time, Ariana enjoys traveling, learning about theology, trying new foods, going to the beach, and spending time with loved ones.

A quote she wants to leave you to think about is, "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It's not." - Dr. Seuss.
