Meron Wendwesen is a finance professional with experience in fund management and debt-financing. As a first-generation American woman and person of color, she believes it is her duty to advocate for marginalized communities.

Her passion for social justice and advocacy has motivated her years of volunteer work with immigrant communities and youth.

Meron is a current law student at UC Hastings where she is involved with the Black Law Students Association, First-Generation Professionals Association, Women of Color Collective, and the Hastings Intellectual Property Association. She earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley where she double-majored in Media Studies and Sociology, and double-minored in Public Policy and Global Poverty & Practice. She plans to use her law degree to expand the support she can provide to immigrant communities, underrepresented entrepreneurs, and social enterprises.
