STEPHANIE LIMA

Intern, Volunteer

Stephanie is currently in her last year as a graduate student at California State University East Bay, hoping to receive a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology as it motivated her to pursue the MSW as she can support individuals and families overcome difficult challenges in their life.

In her prior position, she was a School Social Work Intern at William C. Overfelt High School, providing resources and support for her clients and their families, as well as working with a variety of systems to address the needs of the clients.

She is a first-generation college student, hoping to help improve outcomes in people’s lives. Being a daughter of immigrant parents, she saw the challenges her parents faced as it motivated her to be a useful tool to help people who are vulnerable and don’t know where to turn.

While doing her internship as a Social Worker Intern, Stephanie looked forward to listening and providing support to people by building trust with her to express their needs better.
