Work Permit Clinics

Welcome to Social Justice Collaborative's Work Permit Clinics, where we believe in empowering our communities to pursue their dreams.

This model of Pro bono clinic is especially designed to last only 3-4 hours, with the goal of fitting your busy schedule while providing a meaningful opportunity for impactful volunteering.

Who can join a work Permit clinic?

Whether you're an attorney, non-attorney, or part of a legal team, this clinic is your chance to create positive change in the lives of individuals seeking Employment Authorization.

What happens during a work permit clinic?

Through our Work Permit Clinics, we guide individuals through the process of obtaining Employment Authorization Documents (EAD). By lending just a few hours of your time and expertise, you are helping many in securing work permits and unlocking doors to lasting economic stability and independence.

We understand the immense challenges faced by asylees and recognize how critical it is to equip them with the necessary resources to rebuild their lives. Through our transformative Work Permit Clinics, we are deeply committed to prioritizing the needs of asylees who are seeking work authorization, allowing them to provide for their families and championing their right to live with dignity and prosperity.

When you volunteer at our clinic, you become a catalyst for change. By guiding them through the intricate process of obtaining Employment Authorization Documents, you grant them access to opportunities that not only offer fair wages, but also encompass all employment benefits mandated by law. Through this, we ensure that justice and dignity are upheld at an elevated level for asylum seekers.

Your involvement goes beyond paperwork; it becomes a beacon of hope for those who have experienced unimaginable hardship. With each step you take alongside these resilient individuals, you create a ripple effect of empowerment and transformation.
